# Get Delta Notification

> Returns session ID and serial number of the current dataset. If session and serial parameters match the current values, the request will block until a new dataset is available. This provides a long-polling mechanism for update notifications.

Long-polling endpoint that returns current session and serial. Blocks until dataset changes if parameters match current values.

**Use Cases:**

* Real-time update notifications
* Efficient polling mechanism
* Event-driven validation systems
* Minimize unnecessary requests
